What is Smart Lesson

Smart lesson is a project co-founded by the European Union in the framework of the Erasmus + Program. The consortium, shaped by 10 organizations and educational centers from Italy, Spain, Romania, Greece and Latvia, will co-create and validate new methodologies and tools for designing learning paths based on the use of smartphones that fully exploit the potential of this tool to develop students' key skills. We will work towards a different education in digital skills. These training activities will be carried out in person and online, encouraging the active participation of students.

Main goals

To overcome the resistance to use the smartphone as a learning tool in class, Smart Lesson will act by supporting teachers with suitable methodologies and tools. To overcome this difficulty, the SMART LESSON project is primarily aimed at the target of teachers, in particular those of high schools.

What will Smart Lesson facilitate?

The use of smartphones as an educational tool offers many benefits that go beyond a powerful, attractive and motivating device that provides easy access to all kinds of information. However, it also presents some critical points that must be considered. Educators and teachers are the only ones who can develop effective strategies to integrate smartphones in the classroom and ensure that all students have access to the resources they need to succeed in their learning, in a creative, responsible, safe and participatory way. For this reason, Smart Lesson will provide:
